News releasesA night of excellenceOn the first night of the conference, Beverage World presented its 2010 Achievement Awards to Bottler of the Year Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co. (Springfield, Mo.), Beer Wholesaler of the Year Monarch Beverage Co. (Indianapolis) and Facility of the Year Premier Beverage Tampa. The Beverage World Beacon Award was presented to Diageo for its humanitarian efforts to help earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Also recognized during the ceremony were (l to r) Ed Pritchard of Silver Eagle, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 30-year career in fleet management and Alex Hazenack, whose company, Canadian Springs Water Co., received this year’s Fleet of the Year award.
